National Essay Writing Competition

Center for Civic Education Pakistan arranged a National Essay Writing Competition on the topic: “Role of youth for a peaceful and tolerant society in Pakistan.” One hundred and twenty one students submitted their essays in English (101) and Urdu (20) from all over the country. Female essay writers (62 percent) out numbered the male students (38 percent). A panel of three independent judges for each language separately reviewed the essays. Following are the winners of this competition.

A panel of three independent judges for each language separately reviewed the essays. The prize distribution ceremony will be held in Islamabad during March 2010. The winning essays will be published in a booklet for wider dissemination. The essays in the category of Honorable mentions will be awarded Merit Certificates and will be published in the booklet.
