The Centre celebrated 10th International Day of Democracy on September 15, 2017 at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. It was an interactive dialogue on the day’s theme, ‘Democracy and Conflict Prevention.’ Senator Hidayatullah, Tahir Iqbal, Member National Assembly, Commissioners/Members National Commission for Human Rights, academicians, civic activists and youth participated in the dialogue.

The event was well attended and attracted good media coverage to multiply the message. Living up to its tradition the Centre released a brief report on International Day of Democracy with statistics about Pakistani experience with democracy. The event provided young students an opportunity to engage in conversation about the future of democracy and how to improve the quality of democracy in Pakistan.
